SEW drive programming, Siemens PLC integration and commissioning — from a standalone drive to a coordinated multi-axis system.

Platforms

Hands-on experience with MOVI-B and MOVI-C families, standalone and controller-based systems, MOVISUITE and MOVIDRIVE.

Motion functions

Positioning, homing, electronic gearing, synchronized drives, multi-axis coordination and safe motion functions.

Integration

Connecting motion with Siemens PLC, machine sequences, HMI, diagnostics and communications. Defined control interfaces and fault-recovery behaviour.

Application experience

PLC-controlled palletizers, depalletizers, stacking/tray-handling machinery and lifting, turning and transfer mechanisms. Experience was gained through employer and engineering-company projects.

Working method

First define mechanism functions, drive architecture and interfaces. Then programming, testing, on-site integration and tuning. Safety functions and responsibilities are established for the agreed project scope.

Cooperation

A specific motion-control assignment, commissioning support or longer-term cooperation with machine builders and integrators.

Motion as part of the complete control system.

The drive function matters alongside its interaction with mechanics, safety, operators and other equipment. SEW expertise forms part of the wider PLC and automation software scope.
